psychodynamic therapy
is a type of talking therapy that focuses on exploring a person's unconscious thoughts and emotions to gain insight into their behaviour, motivations, and underlying conflicts. How we see the world as an adult is often rooted in how we experienced it as a child, which can be magnified when stressed; so, you react rather than respond to the present moment. Some feelings are so buried in the past that you may be unaware of their effect on how you experience your life now.
This approach is based on the theories of Sigmund Freud and his followers, who believed that our unconscious mind influences our behaviour and that unresolved conflicts from childhood can lead to emotional difficulties in adulthood.
Psycho dynamic therapy provides an opportunity to explore thoughts, feelings, emotions, and their influence on how we relate to others. It aims to help develop greater self-awareness and gain a deeper understanding of the underlying causes of emotional difficulties, leading to greater personal growth and improved mental health.
