Ayruvedic Practice & Yoga Therapy

is a traditional well-being system of medicine that originated in India more than 4000 thousand years ago. It is often considered one of the oldest holistic healing systems in existence. Ayurveda focuses on achieving balance and harmony in the body, mind, and spirit to promote overall well-being, and is believed to be as relevant today as it always has been for problems such as stress, weight management, hormonal related problems, and associated conditions.

There are many benefits associated to Ayurveda and the approach gentle and holistic. Combining nutrition, herbal remedies, yoga, and massage to help heal and nourish both the body and spirit.

Fundamental to Ayurveda is that each person is individual and unique, with a specific constitution known as doshas. The three doshas are Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, and they represent different elements and qualities within the body.

An Ayurvedic practitioner assesses a person's dosha composition and any imbalances to determine an appropriate treatment plan.

This helps the practitioner understand your dosha constitution (the energy of digestion and metabolism in the body) and identify imbalances which may be causing the resulting symptoms.

Your practitioner will then create a personal treatment plan and prescriptions may include lifestyle recommendations, nutritional guidance, herbal prescriptions, Ayurveda body treatments and Ayurveda yoga work, including posture, breath work and guided meditation techniques.
